Once again a lot of factors resulted in a new bathroom and dressing area that far exceeded our expectations. However your high level of involvement and Anu’s exemplary level of commitment and extra effort were major factors in a very successful home improvement project.

Michael Menn was recommended to us by interior designer Tracy Holmes, who had worked with him and been quite impressed with his organization. We were looking for someone with experience helping older people modify their homes because a tight, winding staircase and lack of a walk-in shower at our condo were making it increasingly difficult for us to navigate the place and feel safe doing so.

Michael himself is affable and easy to communicate with. From our first meeting we felt comfortable with his presentation of the firm and their design/build process. When we decided to proceed with the renovation, architect Marsha Lawrence made two full sets of workable, efficient plans for us to consider. The one we chose has turned out to be elegant, practical and a source of pride and comfort, completed only slightly over schedule and with no unintended cost overruns. Construction manager Mark Dresser was a delightful presence as he posted daily progress reports on the BuilderTrend app online and kept us informed as the various trades went about the transformation. We were able to meet the carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc. as the job went on and had very pleasant relationships with them; we even kept a box of cookies around for energy : )

When it came time to think about textures, colors and lighting, interior designer Anu Maletira guided us to some beautiful selections for paint colors, tile, lighting fixtures and wallpaper. These were the last to be completed and really made the place bloom. Throughout the process we felt that our ideas were welcomed and appropriated whenever possible, and the final result a true cooperative endeavor. Good job!

Michael and his team were incredible! No one looks forward to reconstruction, but they made it feel seamless. From our first meeting, Michael was already coming up with creative ways to use what we could without sacrificing a fresh new look. The scheduling was so precise, there barely was any time between sub-contractors. His Project Manager, Mark, was here practically everyday taking pictures to make sure all work was moving smoothly. Anu, Michael’s interior designer, was amazing! She got us immediately and helped us to create a spectacular new master bath with new corresponding colors for our master bedroom. It was really a fun project because of the expertise and diligence of Michael Menn & Associates. It’s not often anyone can say that when dealing with construction. Thank you Michael, Anu and Mark.

I hired Michael Menn 3 times. The first time he added a room to our house and completely renovated our kitchen. The second time he repaired our garage due to a fire. The third time he remodeled our bedroom and an extra bedroom to create a master bedroom with a sitting area. He transformed our bathroom into a luxury master bathroom. Michael is a true professional who listens to his customer. His cost estimates were reasonable and they closely matched the final cost of each project. Each project was completed on time and within budget. He does not nickel and dime his customers.His attitude is professional and he really cares about the outcome of his work and how the new work blends into the original. Contractor was open, honest and responsive. Quality of work was first class. Response to problems/changes was immediate. Promptness and work of skilled trades was also first class. Follow up contact was excellent. Unconditional recommendation!

Pool House built as well as contracted for water upgrades to house and pool house. Drainage pipes with bladders put into front of house. This was required by the Village of Deerfield in order to build an in ground pool. Contracted for a generator for house and pool requiring upgraded electric panel installed in house. Sound system for outdoors incorporated with indoors. Outdoor grill and general contractor to coordinate with Landscape specialist and pool company. Michael also was the general contrator for a water filtration system for our home. Mr. Menn was very knowledgable about all the specialties that were required to handle this backyard project. That included dryvit work to back of house and entire pool house. There were some problems with the Village inspectors regarding changes that the inspectors decided would be necessary during the construction. Mr. Menn handled everything in a very professional manner. All problems were resolved quickly.
